Jacob John Putz was born on October 29, 1938 in Croswell, Michigan to Jacob and Mary Elizabeth Leonita Putz. He passed away on Easter Sunday, April 9th, 2023 at the family home in Littleton, Colorado, surrounded by family.
After High school he served for 3 years in the United States Army and was stationed in Livorno , Italy where he practiced his photography skills and won trophies while shooting on the Army pistol team.
Jacob married the love of his life, Catherine, on August 20, 1966 in Detroit, Michigan where they raised two sons, Christopher and Timothy.
Throughout his life he worked as an Art Director at J.L. Hudson in Michigan, Broadway Southwest in Arizona and May D @ F in Colorado. Then he became a board certified Hearing Aid Specialist and managed a hearing aid office where his fairness and kindness spread by word of mouth and the business thrived until his retirement.
Jacob's interests and hobbies were many and varied, including motorcycling, reading everything with a special love being Science Fiction and Fantasy, skiing, photography, shooting, model railroading, metal sculpture and many forms of art on paper including pen and ink and watercolor.
He was Religious, tolerant and open to all ideas and was a longtime member and used to usher at St Frances Cabrini church in Littleton, Colorado.
He is survived by his wife Catherine, his two sons Christopher and Timothy and his daughter in law Michelle.
