Jacqueline Jo Clark, 87, of Longmont, Colorado, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day, 2024.
She was born to the late Jasper and Doris Hudson in Lexington, Nebraska.
Jackie, as she was lovingly known, had an adventurous spirit and a profound appreciation for the outdoors. She cherished hiking the Colorado mountains and tending to her vibrant garden, which was renowned for its stunning roses and admired throughout her neighborhood.
Jackie and her late husband Roger shared a love for exploration and were active members of a Goldwing motorcycle club. Together, they traveled extensively across the United States and ventured as far as Nova Scotia. Her passion for travel also took her to many destinations around the world, with a particularly memorable trip to Norway to see the fjords, fulfilling her #1 bucket list dream.
Jackie had a generous heart and was deeply committed to helping others. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels, served as a Girl Scout Leader, and assisted on a special needs bus for children. Her warmth and kindness fostered countless friendships, some of which she maintained since her childhood.
Jackie is survived by her children, Kellie Dexter and Bob Knox of Broomfield, and Kerrie Dexter of Longmont. She also leaves behind her stepchildren, Linda Ellis and Charmaine Lamb, as well as their families. Jackie was a proud grandmother to Lauren Knox, Kelcie Dexter and step-grandchildren, Jason, Megan, Nate, and Graham, who were the lights of her life. She is also survived by her sisters, Marilyn Goodnight and Karen Hudson, as well as precious nieces, nephews, and their children. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Doris Hudson; her sister, Donna Folkers, her grandchild Matt, as well as her former spouse, Maitland "Dex" Dexter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado, honoring Jackie’s legacy of care and compassion.
