James Bailey

November 9, 1939 — February 3, 2020

James Conrad Bailey, a long time Colorado resident, passed away on
Sunday February 3, 2020 in Aurora from a massive heart attack. He was
born November 11, 1939 in Portland, Oregon and was 80 years old.

He was preceded in death by both parents, Ralph Eugene Bailey and
Alice Ingeborg Bailey and is survived by his wife Priscilla Bailey of
Aurora Colorado. Other survivors are a brother, Gerald Lee Bailey of
Oakland, Oregon and a sister, Janis Kay (Bailey) Larson of Canby,
Oregon. He is also survived by a nephew, Christopher Bailey, and two
nieces, Stephanie (Bailey) Graves and Sonja Rae Larson along with a
cousin Glen Bailey of Portland, Oregon. Jim had 3 living step children
at the time of his death and they are Marion Rose Slaughter, John
Joseph Janatsch and Kristine Susan Riley. He was preceded in death by
his step son, Andrew Lawrence Janatsch.

Jim graduated in 1957 from Jefferson High School in Portland Oregon
and his family moved to Juneau Alaska in the late 50's. Jim attended
DeVry Electronics University in Illinois and returned to Juneau to
work at KINY, the local radio station. He met his wife Priscilla in
Texas in 1991 and moved to Colorado and married in 1994. He was a
devoted husband, step father, brother and uncle who had been sick with
end stage kidney disease for many years.

His remains are being handled by Newcomer East Metro Chapel, but no
funeral service will be held. His body has been cremated and the ashes
will be sprinkled in Oregon. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that
a donation be made to the American Kidney Fund.
