James (Jim) Carlyle, 64, of Wheat Ridge, CO passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019 at home with his wife Sue Carlyle. He was born on March 23, 1955 to Henry and Elvira Carlyle in Denver, CO. Jim graduated from Jefferson High School in 1973. Jim married Susan Burkey in 1974, and they lived in Wheat Ridge CO, where they raised their three children together.
After high school, Jim held many different jobs in his life starting with welding after high school. He worked as an auto mechanic, and then he moved into the entertainment field starting with installation of HBO Antennas. Next, he started in post and pre-wiring of homes and apartment buildings for cable TV, from there he moved to into restoration of homes, specializing in Victorian homes for many years. Through the years, Jim kept many of his valued customers from the home industry, and moved into commercial facility maintenance. Jim had a knack for fixing anything he touched, and thinking outside of the box. His brilliant mind and generosity will be missed, he a was selfless man.
Jim is survived by his wife Sue Carlyle of Wheat Ridge, CO, and their three children: Jason (Angie) of Odebolt, IA: Steven Carlyle of Wheat Ridge, CO: Mindy (Seth) Beltran of Aurora CO. He is also survived by nine grandchildren. He is also survived by three siblings, Loretta (Danny) McKercher of Arvada, CO; Raymond (Carol) Carlyle of Edgewater, CO; Shirley Walker of Arvada, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Elvira Carlyle, and his sister Lillian Griffin.
