James Edward "Jimmy" Ferrell, 76, of Watkins, passed away July 31, 2020.
He was born September 29, 1943 in Portsmouth, Virginia, the son of Edward and Mary (Peale) Ferrell.
He was an Auto Body Repairman at Taylor's Body and Frame and also at Montview Auto Body. He later retired.
Jimmy was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 8 years. Jimmy enjoyed working on cars and collected a lot of model cars. He was an Elvis Presley fan and collector. He also collected clocks and coins. Jimmy was a cat lover.
On May 27, 1987, he married Frances (Nagle) Hardy.
James is survived by his wife of 33 years, Frances Ferrell; sons, David Lee (Candice) Ferrell; Step-Daughter, Theresa (partner Steve Castaneda) Hardy; two step-sons, Allen Scott (Sandra) Hardy and Timothy Earl Hardy; nine grandchildren, Matthew Palmer, Jessica Marie Palmer, Hannah Grace Ferrell, Elizabeth Catherine Ferrell, Nathaniel Issac Norris, Stephaney Kazzandra Castaneda, Jonathan Hardy, Christopher Hardy and Andrew Colen; sister, Mary Lee Ferrell-Wells and three friends, Dennis (Diane) Taylor, Jesse Blaylock and Alice (Tony Brisbane) Ledbetter and their families.
He is preceded in death by father, Edward Lee Ferrell; mother, Mary Ethel Ferrell and two sons, Joseph Edward Ferrell and Larry James Ferrell.
