James Michael Fisher

March 17, 1955 — June 26, 2023

James Michael Fisher, 68 passed away in Littleton, Colorado on June 26th 2023.

Jim, or as many called him Jimmy, or Jaime as his siblings called him, was born March 17th, 1955 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Jim moved around a bit with his family as a child, and graduated from Del Norte Highschool in Albuquerque, NM in 1973. He lived most of his life in Littleton, Colorado, continuously for the last 50 years.

Jim was a great friend to many who were drawn to his wry, vigorous sense of humor and down to earth manner. People from all walks of life were drawn to Jim because he was genuine, and lacked pretense. He was lighthearted, animated, and often brash, but almost always funny. Jim was a man of character. He said what he meant, and did what he said.

Professionally, Jimmy was a painter whose skill was such that he never had to advertise, as word of mouth always kept him busy.

Everyone who knew Jim was aware of his passion for trains, western culture, and of course motorcycles. Jim was an avid motorcycle rider since his teens.

Jim is preceded in death by his wife, soulmate, and best friend Sherry Poling Fisher. He is also preceded in death by both his parents, Frances L Smith and James O Fisher.

Jim is survived by his siblings Kathy Unruh of Littleton, CO, Sue Day of Estes Park, CO, Daniel Fisher of Albuquerque, NM and David Fisher of Morrison, CO.

He is also survived by his step-daughters Amanda Miller of Littleton, CO and Mindy Miller of Aurora, CO. as well as his grandchildren Taylor Miller of Littleton ,CO, Holden Jowers of Gretna, NE and William Smagac of Littleton, CO.

He will be missed greatly.

Ride on Jimmy.
