James Patrick Michel, 51, died April 26, 2010 at his home in Watkins, CO. He was born in Denver on August 4, 1958, to John H. Michel, Jr. and Anne Elizabeth (Nancy) Potter Michel. He graduated from South High School in 1977, and studied Graphic Arts at Metro State College in Denver. In 1987, he married Marie Cowhick. He is survived by his wife, daughters Rebecca of Bennett, Maureen and Katie of Centennial. He is also survived by siblings Elizabeth Wilson of Watkins, John H Michel III (Olga) of Wenatchee WA, William (Karen) of Gunnison CO, Katharine (Brian Brockman) of Cheyenne Wy, Richard of Laramie, Wy, Anne Cowhick (James) Lakewood CO, Virginia Berner (William) San Jose CA, and numerous other relatives and friends.
James was a talented musician, a printer, and an horologist, repairing fine clocks and watches. He was past president of Rocky Mountain Chapter of National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors (NAWCC), and former owner with brother William, of The Clock Market in Denver. He enjoyed hunting with his brothers, and camping and boating with his family. He was an active member of St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church in Watkins, and the Third Order of the Society of Saint Pius X. He was a devoted father: an "everything buddy" to his daughters, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
