James Gardner Pride

January 3, 1939 — August 5, 2019

On Monday, August 5th, 2019, James Pride, passed away at the age of 80. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne, his four children, Melinda, Garrett, Jonathan and Carrie, and his brother William Pride.

He was born on January 3rd, 1939 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to James and Denzil (Gardner) Pride. He received his Doctorate of Dentistry from the University of Missouri Dental School in 1965. He practiced dentistry in the Denver area until his retirement in 2005.

Jim was a loving, caring, fun and selfless father and was cherished immensely by his family. In addition to being an outstanding father and dentist, he had countless talents and interests. He was a skilled handyman that had a knack for fixing anything and everything with regards to houses, vehicles and gadgets. He was also an avid outdoorsman, whose hobbies through the years included motorbiking, hiking, cycling, sailing, fishing and hunting. Jim made frequent trips throughout Colorado and Utah to partake in the nature of the Rocky Mountains with the company of his friends and family. Jim also loved the arts. He played the guitar and often took his family to the symphony, theater and museums. Jim will always be known for his charity work in dentistry as well as his kind heart and great sense of humor.

A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, September 6, 2019 at 10:30am at Three Trees Chapel: 13416 W Arbor Pl, Littleton, CO 80127.
