James Smallwood Jr., 76, of Aurora, passed away January 22, 2019.
He was born June 13, 1942 in Dallas, Texas, the son of James Smallwood and Juanita Rowe. He was a graduate of Manual High School in Denver.
James honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1965 and was discharged as a Specialist Fourth Class. While in the Army, he was a Rifle Expert.
James was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
James was an engineer at heart and loved upgrading his own cars. He loved anything technology-related and always had the best electronics. He was also an inventor and had a puzzle-game that he invented 35 years ago and held the patent for that invention. James also enjoyed listening to music. James would spend a lot of his free time going to show homes and open houses to see the architecture in the homes. He also enjoyed spending time with his dog, Mr. Boo.
James is survived by three sons, James David (Joy) Smallwood, Macy Smallwood and Sule Smallwood; eight grandchildren, Elon, Jaden, Micah, Adrien, Ajai, Sequoia, Charlie and Datem and his cherished dog, Mr. Boo.
He is preceded in death by father, James Smallwood, Sr. and mother, Juanita Rowe.
