James Buford Williams, Jr. 77, of Aurora, passed away April 23, 2024.
He was born February 12, 1947 in Clay Center, Kansas, the son of James and Donnice (Brosie) Williams. He was a graduate of Clay County Community High School and received an associate’s degree in drafting in Wichita, Kansas. He served four years in the United States Air Force from 1966-1970 during which time he traveled to England, Libya, Germany, Japan and Vietnam. On October 28, 1972 he married Elena K. (Mascarenas) Williams.
Jim is survived by his children Kellyanne Mascarenas, Alison (Andrew Helm) Williams Helm, and Lance (Brooke) Williams; five grandchildren, Andrea (Brendan) Newman, Eliot Helm, Tatym Williams, Jude Williams and Zinnia Helm; two great grandchildren Tennyson and Noah; and one sister Pamela (Neal) Ogburn. He is preceded in death by his wife Elena Williams, his parents, James and Donnice Williams, and his sister Claudia Matz.
