James H. Wilson

On Monday, March 8, 2021, the loving husband and father of four children passed away at age 93.

Jim was born on July 8. 1927, in Denver, CO, to Hobart and Dorothy (Wright) Wilson. As a young boy, his passion was riding his bicycle to mountain streams with his friends and fishing. He graduated from South Denver High with a love for English and sports.

He retired in 1984 after 40 years with the phone company. During WWII, Jim served as a US Navy medical assistant stateside and during the Korean War aboard the USS Essex. He was honorably discharged following both wars.

On September 6, 1953, he married Norma Foley and raised three daughters, Lynette Dick, Christie (Mike) Margheim, Theresa (John) Grier, and one son, Brian (Michelle) Wilson. Norma passed away in 1999 after 46 years of marriage.

Jim had a passion for family, work, sports, and bird watching. He loved Jazz music and was an avid bowler.
October 16, 2002, Jim met and married Carol Davenport-Wilson and they spent 19 loving years together. Jim became Carol's three children's stepdad, Jeanie (Ken) Burch, Jerri (Frank) Churchill, and Greg (Kim) Lucas. Jointly, Jim and Carol have fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
