In Memoriam: Janet Martin

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Janet Martin, a Colorado native, who was born on April 15 in Denver and left this world on July 19, 2024 at the age of 65.She was a cherished wife, mother, daughter and sibling, Aunty and Grandma, whose presence brought light and warmth to all who knew her. Janet devoted her life to nature and cherished hiking with her daughters and her beloved husband, Scott Martin. She met Scott in Colorado, where they bonded over their shared love for the outdoors and their experiences as twins. Janet's husband, Scott, and mother, Pauline Jesse, preceded her in passing.

Janet's legacy lives on through her beloved children and grandchildren. She is survived by her two daughters Jessica Martin (Blake) and Marissa Martin (Augie), their grandchildren Shay Mattern, Bash Mattern, Scotty Mattern, Claire Watson and Foxley Watson; her father Herbert Jesse, and her twin Julie Brill (Clint), and siblings John Jesse (Paula), Pamela Chavez (Carl), and Brian Jesse, who will remember her for her zest for life, tenacity and enduring love. A rosary and funeral Mass will be held on August 8 at 10:30 AM at Light of the World Catholic Church. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate Janet Martin’s life and to bid her a fond farewell. May Janet Martin rest in peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
