Janice Elaine Simon

Janice Elaine (née Johnson) Ward Simon, of Aurora, Colorado, passed Friday evening March 14, 2025 at age 94. Born in the Los Angeles area where she was very active in Temple Baptist Church she attended the University of Redlands. Jan was a stewardess for American Airlines for two years following college, based in New York and Dallas. Married in 1953 to Robert Ward, a USAF pilot, Jan lived in Japan, Washington, California, Arizona, Texas, and Florida but loved calling Colorado home for over 50 years! Robert passed in 1985. In 1987, Jan married the second love of her life, John Simon. They spent 27 wonderful years together before his passing in 2014. Jan enjoyed her family, gardening, water color painting, church activities, and travel. She is survived by her children, Lucy Ward Bradford of Arapahoe County, Colorado, Jeff Ward and his wife Robin of Monument, Colorado, Frank Simon and his wife LaVerne of Plano, Texas, and John Simon and his wife Martha of Las Vegas, Nevada. Jan treasured her seven grandchildren Kristin, Paul, Jessica, Robbie, Lauren, Rebekah, and Deborah, as well as her ten great grandchildren.
