With deepest sorrow we announce that Jason Robert William Pfankuch of Thornton, Colorado passed away unexpectedly on December 1, 2020, at the age of 40 years old.
Jason was born on June 14, 1980 in Wheat Ridge Colorado. He grew up in Westminster, Colorado, attending school in Jefferson County and graduating from Standley Lake HS in 1998. Jason honorable served in the U.S. Coast Guard and Air Force and was preparing to retire from the U.S. Air Force in January 2021. Jason loved his English bulldogs Roxy and Hulk. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, snow boarding, hiking and camping in the Colorado mountains.
Jason is survived by his wife Taylor Zepeski and step-daughter Mari O'Malley; parents James and Diana Pfankuch; sister Jamie Trujillo-Pfankuch (Luis Trujillo); nephew Noah Pfankuch; nieces Taylor and Zoe Trujillo-Pfankuch. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Aunts: Carol Saltmarsh (Joel), Kaye Schaaf (Joachim), Vickie Pressler (David) and Uncles: Karl Pfankuch (Terry), Glen Pfankuch(Heike) and Brain Kantz.
Cousins: Chad, Ian and Adam Saltmarsh; Christopher Schaaf; Andrew, Stephan, Ryan Pfankuch; Kevin Kuntz; Katelyn Schwander; Kyle and Keaton Pressler.
Jason is proceeded in death by grandparents Robert and Dorothy Pfankuch, Joan Kantz and James Parnell.
Jason will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 11:15 am. Due to COVID-19 restrictions guests will not be allowed to attend. The family invites you to view the ceremony via a live zoom or Facebook connection.
