Jean MacGregor Buker
Jean MacGregor Buker, Evergreen, Colorado, was promoted to Heaven on Thursday, March 9, 2023. She was 94 years of age.
Jean was born in Milton, MA, March 21, 1928, to the late Chester Robert MacGregor and M. Elvira MacGregor.
Jean attended Providence Bible Institute and served along side her husband, Ray, with the Conservative Baptist Foreign Mission Society, currently World Venture, for a total of 15 years as a missionary to Pakistan. Her gift of hospitality proved to be a great support to Ray as he continued serving under the mission headquarters in the U.S.
During her retirement years, Jean applied her gift of hospitality in numerous ways encouraging family and others to come together. She was a loving, devoted and supportive wife and mother.
She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Golden, CO.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Dr. Raymond Buker, Jr., son, Benjamin, brothers, Robert MacGregor and Edwin MacGregor and sister, Charlotte Doyle. She is survived by their children, Merelyn (Larry) Brown, Carolyn (the late Jim) Cawley, Stephen (Susie) Buker, and Timothy (Debra) Buker. She was the loving Grandmother of five grandchildren, Michelle Ingrum, Christina Froehlich, Tamara Durivage, Edwin Buker and Frederick Buker. She also leaves behind five great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, March 20, 2023 at the First Baptist Church, 1805 Washington Ave., Golden, CO. The family will receive friends at 10:00 am at the church prior to the service. Internment will be at the Golden Cemetery.
