Jean "Jeanie" E. Vivian

51, of Littleton, CO, was born May 4, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan. The daughter of Mary P. Miller and John C. Vivian. She passed away November 22, 2009 at Bay Islands, Honduras.

After being born in Michigan, Jeanie lived for awhile in California, Connecticut and Ohio. She graduated from Rolling Meadows High School in Rolling Meadows, Illinois in 1976. She subsequently moved to Colorado where she has lived ever since. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Human Services from Metropolitan State College in 1989 , and immediately upon graduation began working for the Colorado Department of Youth Service, Division of Youth Corrections where she has worked ever since. She was passionate about her job working with troubled teens and received numerous promotions and honors. At the time of her death she was a Correctional Officer III at the Mount View Youth Center. She was a loving mother to Nick Ledford. Jeanie also had a strong love for animals and had two dogs (Jesse and Shorty) and two cats (Simon and Ann). She volunteered at a local animal shelter and frequently took youths from Mount View to it. Jeanie loved to exercise and workout and was in great physical shape. She loved to scuba dive and ski. Jeanie was very sociable and had many friends

She is survived by Nick Ledford (son), Joanne Mugavero (sister), John Vivian (brother), Gene Sanches (fiancee).

She is preceded in death by Mary P. Miller (mother), John C. Vivian
(father), Richard Miller (step father).
