November 18, 1920 — November 17, 2020

Jeanne M. Ellison Coffey (11/18/1920-11/17/2020)

Jeanne M. Ellison Coffey was born to W.C. and Mary Ellison in Giltner, Nebraska on Nov. 18, 1920. She
was the 4th oldest of the Ellison's 13 children. Aug. 21, 1941 she married Corum Coffey and they had 58
years together. In 1942 their son, Michael was born followed by their daughter, Tura, in 1944.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Corum, her son, Michael, and 9 of her siblings. She is
survived by her daughter, Tura, her daughter-in-law Emily, three grandchildren Beth, Corum, J.C.) and
one great grandchild (Seth).

Jeanne worked at the Adams County Bookmobile as a bookmobile librarian and driver, later working as a
library administrator for the Jefferson County Library system. Both Jeanne and Corum were voracious
readers and passed that love of learning on to their children. Jeanne and Corum traveled extensively
inside and outside the United States.

They were charter members of the Montclair Dutch Reformed Church and later active members of
Westminster Presbyterian Church. Jeanne spent many years as senior high school Sunday school
teacher, adult sponsor of the senior high youth group and Bible study leader for the women's assoc.

Jeanne lived independently in the family home until she was 99. She missed 100 years old by 7 hours. The family would like to extend their gratitude to The Oberon Assisted Living home for making Jeanne's final years enjoyable.
