Jeannette Frances Echard, age 87, of Aurora, Colorado, beloved wife of the late Leo Echard (1932-2006), loving mother of three, passed into eternal rest at her home on January 8th, 2022.

Jeannette was born on June 9th, 1934, in Seward, Alaska to Nobel George McRae and Ella Margaret McRae (Johnston). The first of 9 children she grew up working hard on her family homestead in Anchorage, Alaska. She was a devout Pentecostal woman of God. She met her husband, Leo Robert Echard in church in Anchorage, Alaska. Leo and Jeannette were married on September 17th, 1953, in Anchorage. Soon after they relocated to Oklahoma where they had there first daughter, Virginia Ann Hazen on March 29th, 1954. While living in Kansas their son, Daniel Lee Echard (July 20th, 1955-November 28th, 1996) was born. Their last daughter, Valerie Lynn Whitfield, was born on March 23rd, 1959, in New Mexico. They also lived in Texas before finally settling in Colorado in 1972.

Jeannette was a very hard working and devoted mother and grandmother. While working various jobs throughout her life she took care of her children and helped with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She would often say that she spent her whole life raising children. Jeanette attended The Church of God of Prophecy for many years, and raised her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with the knowledge and love of God. She was a woman of many talents, from baking the perfect birthday cake, to lovingly sewing or crocheting a beautiful quilt, or sewing everyone the perfect easter outfit, and even a wedding dress or two, her gifts of the heart were always greatly appreciated by those that were gifted. In her later years she spent her spare time coloring amazing bags that were used to send food to terminally ill patients. Her bags were always being showcased for the love and detail she put into them.

Jeannette is survived by her two daughters, 6 grandchildren and their spouses, and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, her son and a granddaughter.
