Jeffery "Jeff" Lee Reneau (58) of Laird, Colorado went to Heaven on Thursday June 10, 2021. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Jeff was born June 29, 1962 in Omaha Nebraska to Fred and Joyce Reneau. As an Air Force family, he spent many years traveling until he married his wife Liz Reneau on December 31, 1988. Together they created their own family and settled down in Englewood, Colorado.
Jeff was a roofer most of his life. He often worked long, hard days to support his family of five. Jeff was very much a family man, he loved his children and grandchildren with every fiber in his body. Upon becoming empty nesters, he and his wife bought a little property in Laird, Colorado. There they raised goats, ducks, chickens, a kitty, and two really good dogs. He loved the peacefulness out there, but was often found around the Denver area visiting with friends and family.
Jeff's family has many stories about him, some of the favorites include waking up before the sun to go fishing and of course allowing the kids to accompany him at work while roofing houses. They loved to travel, he and his wife often dreamt of staying in the mountains and never coming home. A few of their favorite destinations were Crystal City, Central City, Cripple Creek, Glenwood Springs, and just about any small town in the mountains.
Every Saturday, after a round of golf, Jeff loved to catch a Nebraska Cornhusker game. Sundays were always off limits, as he never made plans if there was a Broncos game on! He was known to survive on gas station candy, peeps, hot tamales, and circus animal cookies. He loved to ski (usually wearing jeans…because he never fell), fish, camp, drive, cuss, and he would never turn down an opportunity to play dolls with his granddaughter. Jeff had a great habit of nodding in agreement, even if he really couldn't hear you.
Jeff is survived by his parents Fred and Joyce Reneau, wife Liz Reneau, brother Steve Reneau, three children; Starrla Morgan, Sherry Dermer (Cory), and Steven Reneau, and 5 grandchildren. He is also survived by some of his "brothers" that have been in his life since the 4th grade.
