Born 19th April 1987
Jeff passed away peacefully at his home in Vail Colorado on Monday August 7th at the age of 36, much too soon. Jeff made many close friends attending Solvay High School , during his time at the BOCES engineering program and while at SUNY Morrisville. Jeff has worked most of the past decade as the IT and Operations Manager for Charlie's T-Shirts and was truly a jack-of-all-trades.
Jeff is predeceased by his Grandparents Ira and Flora Johnson and Robert Downing, and his Aunt Marie Summerwood.
He is survived by his father James Johson Sr(Robin), Cathy Peterson (Pete), Grandmother Mickie Ranieri, Siblings James Johnson Jr, Dan Johnson, Matthew Tropea(Jennifer), Nicole Tropea-Scott(Doug), Michael Tropea(Alexa), Jessica McNavich(Kevin), Stacey Peterson (Gaston Alberti), as well as many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He was a treasured uncle to many nieces and nephews. Jeff also left behind a beloved chosen family in the Lionshead and Vail community.
Jeff was a free spirit who spent time in many states including his home of Syracuse, NY, ultimately discovering a life that he loved in Vail. While there he spent time riding his E-bike, mountain bike, snowboard, and was always open to an adventure. Jeff is remembered as a laughing, loving, generous and compassionate soul by everyone whose life he touched. He made everyone around him feel like the most important person to him, because they truly were.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on August 26th in Syracuse NY at the Vineyard church with a gathering and refreshments to follow.
