Jenette Anne Groskopf, 46
Jenette was born December 22, 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Viola Betty and Leroy Ertle Stitt. She passed away January 6, 2008 in Lakewood, Colorado.
Jenette was born on the island of Oahu as the youngest of seven children. The family moved back to Denver, CO when she was six months old. She attended Edgewater Elementary, Belmont Junior High and graduated from Jefferson High School.
Jenette was married on June 14, 1980 to Doug Groskopf. Their first daughter, Jessica, was born on December 23, 1982 and their second daughter Lindsay, was born May 1, 1984. Jenette and Doug raised their family in Arvada, CO, where she predominantly stayed in the home to provide care for her children in addition to her niece, Veronica.
Jenette's favorite pastimes were camping, spending time on her boat, and waterskiing. Jenette's family accompanied many of their friends and relatives on weekend camping trips as well as vacations to both Lake Navajo and Lake Powell. Passing time behind the boat, around campfires, and watching sunsets brought Jenette and her family much joy and many memories.
Jenette found pleasure in spending time with her numerous friends and large family. She also took great pride in working for the Vitamin Cottage.
Jenette will be immensly missed by her daughters Jessica and Lindsay of Denver, CO; her mother, Viola Stitt, of Edgewater, CO; her brother, Michael Stitt and his wife, Jane, of Cody, WY; her brother, Ronald Stitt and Carol Ann Stevens, of Wheat Ridge, CO; her brother, Mark Stitt and Donna King, of Lakewood, CO, her sister Donna Arko and her husband Ken Galecki of Arvada,CO; her sister Diane Campbell and her husband Floyd, of Elizabeth, CO; her nieces Veronica and Samantha; her nephew Nathan; and her beloved dogs Kobe and Rocco. She is preceded in death by her father Leroy Stitt, her brother, Tony Stitt, and her beloved dog, Schnapps.
Services will be held on Wednesday, January 9th at 11 AM at Christ Community Covenant Church, 8151 Simms Street, Arvada, CO 80005. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations may be made to the Rocky Mountain Cancer Center Foundation, 1161 S. Vivian Street, Lakewood, CO 80228.
