Jerry Dean Loader 77, Beloved Husband, Dad & Papa passed away on February 6th 2021 at his home in Aurora CO surrounded by the people he loved most.

Jerry was born in Fort Collins Colorado February 2, 1944 son of the late Cecil and Anna Loader. Jerry is survived by his wife & best friend Melba Loader where they met in the Philippines in October 1966. Their relationship was unique from the beginning, it was love at first site and could be considered fate, Jerry's Naval orders originally were for Japan but changed to the Philippines. 3 years after they met Jerry had to leave the Philippines because he had received his orders to Singapore and then back home to the United States. They continued their relationship writing letters to one another for 5 years until they would see one another again. They spent a life of 54 years together his love for his wife was unconditional he always made sure all of her needs were met, he knew the importance of family and her desire to bring her family to the United States to live with them. Jerry was survived by his two daughters Maryann Loader and Jeannie Fleury and Son-in-Law Randy Fleury and two beautiful grandchildren Jaden Dean Loader Fleury and Alyssa Ann Loader Fleury, and his 3 siblings Neil, Keith & Mark Loader and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jerry served his country as a Navy man for 8 years and survived the Vietnam war where he earned the Purple Heart medal. Jerry graduated Metro State University with a Masters Degree in Business and went on to work for United States Postal Service for 23 years as a Mail Collector and Letter Carrier. He was a very hard working man and an awesome provider for his family. His love and devotion for his family inspired him to change his life plans to be closer to his family not just once but twice, the first time was back in 1982 when he quit his job in management to move his family back to Colorado from North Carolina. He worked many jobs from selling Kirby vacuums and solar panels and May D & F. Jerry and Melba built their retirement house in Thornton Colorado only to buy a house in Aurora to be closer to their grandkids. As a young man he loved his time hunting and fishing with his Dad and brothers. When Jerry and his brothers were kids they were considered to be a handful to his mother & father (Dad & Gam) Jerrys parents distilled the value of family to him and his siblings at an early age, Jerry always made his family his number 1 priority in all aspects of his life. His friends and family members repeatedly commented how great of a husband and father he was.

Jerry & Melba had a passion for travel, they traveled to so many amazing and wonderful places around the world. They made it a point to see all 50 states and they accomplished that goal together. Jerry's favorites places he traveled too was The Great Wall of China, New Zealand, Dubai and Switzerland. Jerry loved to go fishing wether it be lake or river fishing he always had great stories to tell of the times he spent with his beloved Dad and siblings about their fishing and hunting trips together.

Jerry was always know to be the life of the party a heck of a jokester and believed in having a great time with his family. Jerry was a one of kind husband father, grandfather brother and best friend. Jerry always treated people with dignity and respect he gave no man respect who did not earn it.

Jerry was a lifelong Denver Broncos fan, he enjoyed watching the games with family and friends, his favorite player was John Elway. He loved his Western movies, John Wayne was his favorite actor and he would spend his downtime watching western movies and FOX News he was registered die hard Republican, his favorite President was Ronald Regan. His favorite color was blue, he loved looking at the clouds and admired how beautiful they could be, he loved Colorados sunrises and sunsets he thought them to be the most beautiful he had ever seen. He loved their horses Ringo and Drifty with Ringo as his favorite, he had the nickname of Columbo named by his close family members because he could always predict the ending of a movie that he never seen before.

Jerry was loved by all who knew him, he was the worlds best grandpa (Papa) his grandkids were spoiled with love and would protect them to no end he treated me his son-in-law as his own son and loved all of his family unconditionally. He will be forever in our hearts and deeply missed.
