Jesse Lee Walter III, affectionately known as "T", transitioned from the earthly to the heavenly realm on Monday, June 8, 2020. He is survived by two children, Dominic Coleman (Jamie) and Emi Coleman; 15 grandchildren, Nyece Smith, Malik Manuel, and Dominic Jr., Sirr, Shaylynn, Esquire, Queen and Amerah Coleman; Brian Woodward III, Brian Woodward (Bubba) IV, Angel Woodward; Rose, Destiny, Iris, and Rihanna Coleman; 3 brothers, Larry Walter, Donald Walter (Sherrie), and Ronald Walter; 3 sisters, Ruth Holden (Albert), Earlean Toliver- Dixon, and Betty Garrett (Preston). Jesse was preceded in death by his father Jesse Walter Jr., mother, Ethel Titus Walter (Ma'Dear} and grandson Messiah Coleman. He will be missed by numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Jesse was born in Baton Rouge, La but spent the majority of his life in Denver, Co. He attended Cole JHS and graduated from George Washington H.S. in 1972 where he played varsity football and track. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and did 4 years of military service. Upon his return home, "T" helped care for his mom until her death in 2012. He would spend his spare time working on cars and providing counsel to friends and families. Regardless of tribulations and obstacles, "T" always had a kind heart and loving demeanor, and genuinely encouraged and celebrated the success of others.
