Jewell Lane Spears

Jewell Lane Spears, age 88, passed peacefully at her home in Aurora, Colorado on December 22nd, the morning of her 69th wedding anniversary. She was surrounded by her loving family. Jewell is survived by her husband, Orville Dee Spears and sons Orville Wayne Spears and wife Raquel, Larry Don Spears and wife Ginny, and daughter Pamela Murlene Turner and husband Brad. Jewell was blessed with four grandchildren, Corey Feltner and husband Jarrett, Jayson Spears and wife Angela Jade, Sarah Pogozelski and husband Matt, and Brent Spears. She had five great grandchildren, Cole and Aiden Ponzi, Logan and Abby Pogozelski, and KennaDee Spears. She worked for 22 years in the Okmulgee Public Schools Cafeteria and was respected for her baking skills, especially her cinnamon rolls, pies, and cakes. She was a devoted Christian and member of the Church of Christ in both Okmulgee and Sapulpa, Oklahoma before moving to Aurora, Colorado in 2012. No services are planned at this time and will be held in 2021 in Oklahoma.
