Jo Caldwell

June 27, 1932 — October 16, 2019

Jo Caldwell was born on June 27, 1932 in South Dakota to Louis and Maggie Hagemeyer. She was married to James A. Caldwell for 57 years, until his death in 2015.

In addition to being a wonderful wife and mother, she had a varied career as a teacher in a one-room country school at age 18, was head of the accounts receivable department for a large trucking firm, worked as a Realtor, a CNA, day care home operator and assisted her husband in running their business.

At the age of twenty-eight, Jo accepted Christ as her Savior, and her faith became a living thing that defined every aspect of her life. She had an incredible capacity to see a need and quietly step in to fill it. She was a woman who inspired love because she so freely reached out in love to all who crossed her path. She had a servant's heart and worked tirelessly to care for and serve others.

She is predeceased by her parents, husband, 5 siblings, and a great grandson. She leaves behind her children Kris Dobbins (Richard), Brenda Scott (Jimmy), Steve Caldwell (Debbie), John Caldwell (Cheri); 9 Grandchildren – Janice, Sean, Brett, Stephanie, Ryan, Ashley, Carrie, Zach and Jennifer; and 12 Great Grandchildren – Ivan, Marie, Dakota, Emily, Grace, Evelyn (Evie Jo), Dante, Carson, Jace, Aristea, Stephen and Regan.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 2 at 10:00 a.m. at the Littleton Baptist Church, 1400 W Caley Ave., Littleton, CO 80120.

In lieu of flowers, Jo asked that donations be made to Samaritan's Purse or Love a Child Ministries.
