Joann Oliver

July 1938 - October 2022

Joann Oliver, passed away on October 17, 2022; she was 84 years old. She is preceded in death by loving husband of 59 years, Cecil A Oliver, daughter Marcella Oliver, son Thomas Oliver, and granddaughter Donelle Setzer. She is survived by daughters Barbara Hodges, and Mary Clemens, along with son, Joseph Oliver. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Lou Grothe, Phyllis Cook, and Charlene Zachman along with brother James Baer.

Joann was a proud mother of 5 children, grandmother of *13 children, great grandmother of *21 children, and great-great grandmother of *2 children (*including step grandchildren). She loved spending time with all of them although her memory tended to leave her at a loss for their names. She also had a number of nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews.

Dad was Mom's softball coach, first and only love, her everything; the rest is history. After about ten years of marriage and 4 kids, along with one on the way, an opportunity come dad's way. So, he loaded up the late 60's Chevy Impala, hitched the U-Haul up and uprooted the family from Maryland and moved to Colorado. Joann raised 5 kids mainly as a stay-at-home mom. She coached softball, was a scout leader, and taught us major lessons from her actions alone. She did get her beautician's license and excelled at that line of work. Her later years were consumed in positions relating to cashier jobs and Credit Union positions. She was a wonderful mother and friend. Loyal to her husband and family. Joann will be missed dearly.
