Joe Lewis Carroll

Joe Lewis Carroll passed away on June 8, 2024 at the age of 88. He was born July 9, 1935 in Whitley County, Kentucky, son of the late John and Margaret Meadows Carroll, and was raised along with his nine siblings in the Oak Ridge, TN area. After graduating high school he entered the US Air Force in 1955. He was honorably discharged and joined Martin Marietta and moved to Denver Colorado in 1959. In 1960 he married Ann McGrath Carroll who remained his wife for 58 years. After 37 years as a Quality Manager he retired from Lockheed Martin and enjoyed golfing and travelling around the country with Ann. They moved to Southwest Florida in 2014 after 60 years in Denver.

He is survived by his daughters, Cyndi Fyke (Dave); Beth King (Neal) and his son Scott Carroll; his grandchildren Rob Fyke, Will Fyke (Jessica), Connor King (Haley), Hayden King (Breanna), Jessica Carroll and Jacqueline Carroll, and his two great granddaughters, Mila and Maeve King. He is also survived by his brothers Jack (Lenore) Carroll; William Carroll; and John (Pat) Carroll; his sisters Wanda Abney; Joyce Ann Blackford; Jeannie Piper; and Katie Carroll and sister-in-law Donna Carroll. He was preceded in death by his wife Ann, his parents; brothers Bob Carroll and Roy Carroll; sisters-in-law Judy Carroll and Sandy Carroll and brothers-in-law Bob Blackford and Bill Piper
