Joe B. Franco, age 81, of Commerce City, Colorado passed away at home on Tuesday, June 11th. He is survived by his second wife Erlinda E. Martinez Franco of 24 years; daughters Dina M. Connors, Natilie Gardulski and Rebecca "Becky" Franco; grandchildren John Casas, Juanita Diaz, Christie Tidwell, Anthony Blea, Joe Franco and Andrew Zavala-Franco; twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandson; siblings Aurelio "Lelo" Franco, Vicente Franco and his sister Catherine Ruiz. Preceded in death by his first wife of 36 years, Juanita L. Estrada Franco "Johnnie"; son Joe B. Franco; parents Bernabe "Indio" Franco, Natividad Perez; siblings Stanley Franco, Margarito Franco, and Georgia Vega.
Joe was the foundation of his family. He loved his wife, children and family with every ounce of his soul. He was a hard-working man who spent 36 years at Brannan Sand & Gravel, he was honest, direct and very proud of his accomplishments. He taught his kid to work hard, be independent and speak the truth. He touched many lives with his generosity, love for the farm life and his willingness to accept people for the way they were.
Our family has lost a very special person who is loved by so many. He will be missed but will always continue to live on in our hearts.
