Joe Edward Manning

April 10, 1935 — December 22, 2018

Mr. Joe Edward Manning son of Charles Manning and Nora Manning born April 10, 1935 in Dandridge Tennessee, passed away on December 22, 2018 in Denver Colorado at his home surrounded by his family.

He served in the US Army 1954 to 1956 with an honorable discharge. Joe moved to Denver CO in the early 1960's where he met his lovely wife Pricilla Maestas and they were happily married for 55 years. They had 3 beautiful daughters Diana, Cindy and Laura Lee.

Joe lost his father at an early age of only five years old and his mother Nora remarried to stepdad Cal Fain. His Mother passed away February 1977. Followed in death by his brother Guy, sister Blanch and survived by his younger brother Jim Manning who still resides in Tennessee. He was a great son in-law to Tomasita Maestas and would always help her in any way he could. Joe was the proud grandfather of Joey, Derick(Erika), Erin(Jesse) and Evan. He also has one great grandson Giovanni and great granddaughter Ofelia Rae who brought him so much joy in his final years. He had a wonderful son in-law Jim Navin which I'm sure gave him great comfort to know he was leaving us in good hands with Jim. Joe had many in-laws, nieces, nephews and great nieces/nephews. He was a wonderful son/brother in-law, and uncle(all who suffered from his infamous Indian burns).

Joe worked for Ralston Purina for 33 years and retired in 2000. He loved fishing camping, bowling and playing horseshoes with his brother in-laws and friends. He always would take his kids and other kids on fun camping trips which we will never forget. He spent a lot of time visiting the mountains, well also known as Blackhawk, during his retired years with Percy.

His most favorite thing to do was to visit the Mcallister household almost daily, he loved them so much. Joe was the type of man who would give you the shirt of his back if you asked. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, in-law uncle and so on...

We will miss you greatly
