John Henry Terry

November 26, 1943 — October 20, 2021

On October 20, 2021 Heaven opened its gates for one of God's special and precious children.

He was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Lincoln High School, where he played football. He moved to Denver Colorado in 1975 and lived with his Aunt until he moved into his own apartment. He worked for the State Department for 32 years. He liked fishing, barbecuing and spending time with his family.

John is preceded in death by his parents Howard Sr. and Martha Terry, his brother Howard Jr. and his sister Diane Terry. John leaves cherished memories of his wife Juanita Terry of Kersey, CO; sister Irma (Bruce) Tillman of Pomona, CA; his children, Alysha (Joe) Hodges of South Carolina, Gabriella (James) Worley of Lakewood, CO and Victoria Terry of Englewood, CO; his stepchildren Cornelius Lee of Houston, TX and Lanese (Vernon) Martin of Denver, CO; and two grandsons. He is also survived by nieces, Michelle Edwards of Pomona, CA, Monica Terry-Dickerson of Atlanta, GA, L'Reaca Hall of Dallas, TX. Nephews, Minster Miller Johnson of Grand Prairie, TX, and Derwin Johnson of Pomona, CA; and a host of great nieces and nephews and friends.

John loved the Lord and loved to praise his Holy name and he did that until the day he passed away.
