John L. "Johnny" Priest, Jr.
John (Johnny) passed away with family by his side at the University of Colorado Hospital – Anschutz on October 27, 2019 after battling ARDS. John had suffered from COPD for six years.
He was born to Jonathan L. Priest, Sr. and Linda (Marshall) in Heidelberg, West Germany.
John dabbled in many occupations over his short lifetime. Driver, bartender, construction and electrical trades were some. There wasn't much that he couldn't figure out how to do, whether it was home remodeling, mechanical or technical. He was very adept with computers and created a website to showcase the games and consoles that he built himself, many of which he successfully sold over the years on eBay.
Johnny is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Anthony) Perez of Colorado Springs; son, Luke Priest of Aurora; granddaughters, Hailey and Jade Perez of Colorado Springs; mother, Linda Marshall of Tulsa, OK; stepmother, Debbie Priest of Fountain; sister, Lisa (Rick) Wild of Tulsa, OK; brother, Danny (Krisinda) Priest of Westminster; and several nieces, nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his father John L. Priest, Sr., grandparents Evelyn and Bill Cruz, Alberta Nuss, Lee Priest and Clarence Marshall.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, chaplains and the Palliative Care Team at the University of Colorado Hospital ICU for their care of John during this difficult time and for the tremendous support they provided to the family.
