John L. Joseffy passed over peacefully in his sleep the night of Dec. 23rd after a long, hard fought, and courageous fight with lung cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Kenna; daughter, Jill (Scott) Knapp; and grandchildren, Justin Joseffy and Kelsey (John) Hickok. He is preceded in death by son, Stephen. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and friend to many with a quick wit and dry sense of humor.
Following his retirement from United Airlines, John was able to devote more of his time to his lifelong passion as a Master Cabinet Maker and could always be found in his wood shop covered with saw dust. He is also known around the world for his craftsmanship in restoring antique slot machines and their cabinets.
A memorial service will be held Dec. 30, 2004, 2 pm at the Newcomer Chapel in Aurora with a gathering of family and friends to follow. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Dumb Friends League, 2080 S. Quebec St., Denver, CO, 80231, or any animal shelter or rescue of your choice.
