John Ralph Maddy met the Lord on December 11, 2020.
Son of the late Ralph and Loretta Maddy. Born in East Brady, PA 1938.
John lived his younger years in Urbana IL. He graduated from Urbana High School in 1957. He was football co-captain and went to State in track and field.
John married Sheila Morris Maddy. They celebrated 62 years of marriage.
The family moved to CO in 1974. They enjoyed many years of boating with their neighbors.
He is survived by his sister Ruth Kimball (husband Bob). John was the father of Tamara Maddy (partner Suz) and Jill Maddy Reichard (husband Jim). Grandson Preston Reichard (wife Alyssa), great grandchildren Colvin 8, Kenley 6, and Easton 3.
John retired in 2002, after many years in the tile business. He and Sheila moved to Sun City Grand, AZ soon after. He loved playing softball and had many friends. After 8 enjoyable years, they moved back to CO to be near family.
He liked his Broncos and Rockies. John was very passionate about watching his grandson and great grandson play baseball. He loved sports.
His family meant the world to him. And his family loved him dearly. He was a kind and caring man by everyone who knew him.
