John Patrick Quintana

January 9, 1952 — January 14, 2020

John Patrick Quintana was born to Cy and Maryanne Quintana in Denver, Colorado the third of three boys. A sister rounded out the family, taking away his "baby of the family" title. He graduated from Mullen High School and owned several small businesses. His passion was "junking" before it was in vogue, buying the contents of auctioned storage units and selling the treasures he found.

John had a very dry sense of humor and entertained his brothers, sister and cousins with his easy laugh. He loved to be with his large extended family and could usually be found playing or creating board games, playing cribbage or online computer games with anyone who tried to beat him. If he wasn't playing games, he was reading anything he could find and had an extensive collection of books, comics and classic magazines.

John loved his beloved Denver Broncos, camping or just being outside. He loved good food and good coffee and was never found without his travel coffee mug.

After a traumatic brain injury in 2015, John moved to Granville Assisted Living. Through the years, John had various diverse brushes with death, creating many "9-lives" jokes with his family. After years of chronic lung issues he succumbed to his 9th life and passed away peacefully on January 14, 2020.
