John Howard Stafford, 78, died peacefully surrounded by family on March 18, 2022 just a week before his 79th birthday.
Albert and Sarah Stafford had their son, John, on March 23, 1943 in Raiford, Florida. On January 2, 1962, at the young age of 18, he joined the Air Force on what led to a lifelong career of service to this country. Later, John was stationed with his young family in Alaska then moved to multiple southern states before settling down in Colorado in 1972.
On June 23, 1984 John married Carol, adding her two daughters to his family.
John greatly enjoyed family, fishing, football, good food, re-runs of Gunsmoke and Andy Griffith!
John's family and friends remember him for his sense of humor, often goofing around but at the same time being strict, protective and well-rounded.
John is survived by his wife Carol, his sons Mark (Kathy), John (Vivien), Jeffrey (Vicky), and stepdaughters Angela Lashley (Odie) and Rebecca Lashley, as well as his four grandsons, four granddaughters and two great grandsons, his brothers Bob, Donald, Randy and his sister Margaret (Woody) Kitler, his sister-in-law Judy, brother-in-law Gene Griffis, and many nieces, nephews and other loving family.
