Reffel Jr., John Wayne
Age 67, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Swedish Hospital due to complications from a severe stroke. John was born in Denver, Colorado and spent his early years in Englewood, CO. He worked with his parents in the family foundry before starting his own business. He was founder, owner, and operator of JLS Landscape & Sprinkler, Inc. John was an avid horse enthusiast which he shared with his grandchildren. He retired and lived his later years in the mountains of Colorado.
Over the years he touched many hearts and he will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his 2 children –Lori (Neuenschwander) and John Reffel III plus 4 grandchildren – Lisa Marie (VanDiver), John Reffel IV, Lowell (Neuenschwander) and Jeremy Reffel as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. He is also survived by his father, John Reffel, sister, Sandra Reffel, brother, James Reffel. John was preceded in death by his mother, Alma Reffel and sister, Sharon (Houston).
Visitation: Thursday, March 22 from 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 901 S. Sheridan, Lakewood, CO. Memorial service Friday, March 23, 1:30 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 6673 W. Chatfield Ave., Littleton, CO. Reception to follow at Columbine Country Club, 17 Fairway Lane, Littleton, CO.
