The Reverend Dr. Johnny M. Brown was born on April 11, 1947, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the proud parents Elton Brown and Gertrude Brown.

From a young age, Johnny accepted Christ and began his lifelong journey of faith and service. After relocating to Denver, Colorado, Johnny eventually joined Harvest Church under the leadership of Bishop Kevin Foreman. Here, he diligently served in numerous capacities, becoming a pillar & cornerstone of the church community.

Johnny graduated from Hamilton High School in 1966. Demonstrating a commitment to education, he went on to earn his Bachelor's, Master's of Information Technology Systems and Doctoral degree of Divinity marking him as a scholar and a lifelong learner.

In 1967, Johnny answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Air Force. He served honorably and retired in 1989, having dedicated over 22 years to protecting and serving the nation. The call of service then led him to continue his service to working for Department of Agriculture, he then retired.

A man of great character and integrity, Johnny was united in holy matrimony to his beloved wife, Elizabeth Ann Brown, with whom he shared fifty-three wonderful years. Together, they nurtured a loving family and a deep bond that withstood the test of time.

He cherished every moment spent with his family, enjoyed building and maintaining his lawn, and devoted endless hours serving his church. His life was a testament to the virtues of hard work, dedication, and selfless service.

On Monday, May 20, 2024, Johnny was peacefully promoted to receive his reward, surrounded by his most precious wife, children, and grandchildren, and close family members. His passing marks the sunset of a remarkable life & his legacy will forever endure in the hearts of those he touched.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and three brothers. Johnny leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted and loving wife, Elizabeth Ann Brown; four children, Danielle Foreman of Atlanta, GA; Billy Brown (Angela) of Memphis, TN; Damon Brown (Loucinda), and Katrice Russell (Waljima) both of Denver, CO; one sister, two brothers; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

The Reverend Dr. Johnny M. Brown will be remembered as a hero, a scholar, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a pillar of his community. His legacy of faith, love, and service will continue to inspire all who knew him!
