JoMarie Garcia, 35, of Denver, Colorado passed away on Monday March 21st 2022.
She was born to Jessie and Antonia (Toni) Garcia October 8th 1986 in Prairie Village, Kansas. She graduated from Roosevelt High School then went on to attain an Associate's Degree in radio communications from the Ohio Center for Broadcasting. She interned at Fox 31 after school, then worked in the field of human services for more than seven years. She lived and worked in Denver, Colorado.
She loved physical challenges and excelled in many sports from a young age including football, softball, golf, and volleyball. Before falling ill she was active in Muay Thai and MMA fighting. She enjoyed reading and drawing, and loved playing board games with her daughter. Above all, she loved hanging out with family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered as someone who was always spending time with those she loved whether it be out on the town, on the other end of the phone, or just hanging out watching sports.
JoMarie especially loved being with her daughter Taeja, no matter what they were doing. She loved hanging out and spending most of her time with her, being involved in Taeja's life, spending one on one time and playing board games. Taeja was her best friend. They danced together, sang, played golf; completed in everything just for laughs. JoMarie's greatest joy in life was being around her daughter - going to the beach and spending quality time together. She even coached her daughter in a variety of sports and participated in flag football camp.
She was a shoulder to cry on and a fierce protector of those she loved. She was kind, fun loving, and full of life. She will be dearly missed by everybody who knew her.
JoMarie is survived by her daughter Taeja Vivens, father Jessie Garcia Sr., mother Antonia (Toni) (Sanchez) Garcia, brother Jessie (Anrie Schneider) Garcia Jr, and twin sisters Bobbie Lee (Andrew Ohlson) Garcia and Jamie Lee Garcia, Taeja's father Tirrell Vivens, nieces Naturella and Gianna Garcia and Gene Ohlson, nephews Zion and Jessie Coaraa, III; grandparents Josephine and David Laws, and grandmother Aurora Casarez Garcia and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. May she rest in Heaven with Grandfathers Ralph Sanchez and Porfirio Garcia.
