Jonelle Marie Lewis

January 25, 1952 — February 24, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of Jonelle Lewis announce her passing after a two-year battle with Glioblastoma, brain cancer, on Monday, February 24, 2020, at the age of 68 years.

Jonelle was a proud fourth generation Colorado native graduating from Lakewood Highschool in 1970, attending Doane College 70-72 and earning a BS at Colorado State University in 1974. Moreover, she earned her MBA from Colorado University Denver 1989. Jonelle retired in 2010 after a 33-year career in Hospital Administration with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Jonelle's past times included participating in Daughters of the American Revolution, genealogy, being close to nature, animals, cross words, quilting, and continuous learning.

She cherished her relationships with family and friends more than anything. Jonelle will be fondly remembered by her husband of 45 years, William Lewis; sisters Virginia Sandifer and Janice Green; daughters Andrea Wilhelm and Kira Grueschow. Grandchildren are, Samantha and Zoie Wilhelm, Arik and Wil Grueschow. Jonelle was predeceased by her parents Edward Green, Alyce Green, and sister Evelyn Buchanan.

Memorial service will be held in memory of Jonelle, on Sunday, March 15th, 2020 at 2:00pm, at The Pines at Genesee, 633 Park Point Drive, Golden with Army Chaplain Lane Sandifer officiating, reception to follow.
