Jordan Daveon-Reshard Lewis

September 14, 1991 — December 22, 2020

Jordan Deveon-ReShard Lewis, affectionately known by close family and friends as J-Lew, was born on September 14, 1991 to Natosha Davis and Jimmie Howard in Denver Colorado. Although his biological father was not a big part of his life, he never lacked for anything with the strong male influences that guided him through. He was raised and cared for by a strong family unit. Robert Lewis would be the man he would call dad from the time he was able to talk, but with his Uncle Wade and Paw Paw (Henry Brewer) always there, he found his way in the world. Natosha, Robert, Annette, Henry, and Wade, were always there to make sure Jordan was heading in the right direction. He gave his life to Christ and was baptized at Good Shepherd Baptist church early in his life.

Jordan found a love of sports and a very young age, especially football. Even with all his struggles over the past few years it's been his desire to get back on the field that kept him inspired and working hard. Throughout his years he participated in several camps, college programs and semi- pro teams. Jordan could catch anything even though he was raised to be a QB.

J-Lew graduated from Cherokee Trails High School in 2009 and began his college career at his mother's alma mater Langston University. During his second semester he began the struggles that would prove more than we could have ever imagined. Jordan continued his education after Langston at Northeastern in Sterling as well as Cole College.

Jordan's world revolved around his family and friends. Whether it be spending time talking and laughing with his sisters (Shari and Imani) and brother (Robert II) or hanging out with his boys (Paul, Savon, Alvin, Patrick, Saint and a host of others) he kept all of us smiling. His jokes, his wit, his laugh and smile will always be remembered. You could always tell what he loved because he would tattoo it on his body, from Mama's Boy to his favorite scripture it was all there.

Jordan Lewis departed this life on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 11:24AM surrounded by his parents (Robert and Natosha) and his youngest sister Imani. Greeting him in heaven will be his grandfathers, Henry R. Brewer and R. B. Lewis, aunt Hazel Brewer as well as his cousin Mallan Robinson II. He will forever be remembered and loved by his Parents, Natosha and Robert Lewis; Siblings, Shari Gray (Ladretcus), Robert Lewis II, Imani Lewis; Grandmothers Annette Brewer and Sharon Lewis and his Grandfather Wade Davis (Pam). His uncle Wade Davis (Benjamin) who kept challenging Jordan. As well as Aunts (Terrilyn Mills, Sharnell Jackson, Anita Branch), Uncle Michael, his Niece Khailyn, Nephew, Kaius, and a host of Cousins, Bonus Uncles and Aunts, and Friends.
