Jose Elmer Ortivez was born on May16, 1938 in Gardner, Co ,and went home to be with the Lord on August 28, 2022, He is proceeded in Death by his Father, Eustacio"Oscar" Ortivez and his Mother Beatrice Maria Ortivez, also sisters, Marylou Martinez, Elise Aguirre, Louise Medina, and Arlene Esquibel and his beloved granddaughters Nadine Ortivez, Larissa Kolenc. He is survived by his Loving and Devoted wife of 66 yrs Alice Gonzales Ortivez, his brothers ,Raymond Ortivez, Levi Ortivez, and Arthur Ortivez.
Elmer was a loving and Devoted Father of 7 children: sons Bill Ortivez, Mark Ortivez,( Patsy Ortivez)Jose Elmer Ortivez jr. Daughters: Julie Ortivez Powell,(Les Powell), LizaOrtivez(Maria), Nancy Morales(Russ Morales), Sandra Ortivez Gonzales(Pat Gonzales)
He was blessed with 25 grand children, 54 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grand children, and he loved each and everyone of them with all his heart ! He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who he also loved dearly.
Dad loved to Paint, He was a artist of great talent alot of his work can be seen all over Colorado. He also played the guitar and would often sing to my Mother and dance with her which he loved to do, he was a master Baker where he retired after 42 yrs from. My Father! He loved us all and always made everything better by just being in the room but, his hugs brought out the sunshine and what ever was broken those hugs put it all back together again. Dad, you will be deeply and Sadly missed by all. We love you!

Where: Scheitler Recreation Center ( Berkeley Park) 5031 w 46th ave Denver, Co 80212, Reception to follow at same Location.
