Joseph Junior Pelino, a retired Security Specialist for The Denver Sheriff's Department, a life-long resident of Colorado, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 21, 2022, at the age of 67, due to a heart attack.
He was born on April 21, 1954, in Denver, Colorado. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Senior Pelino and Rose Marie Pelino, brother Frankie Pelino, sisters, Paulene Leeka, Joanne Bettini, and Mary Pelino. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Jane Pelino, son, Rico Pelino, daughter, Nicole Pelino, granddaughter, Chloe Pelino, sister, Henrietta Eckley, and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
Musician and retired culinary professional, Joseph loved to cook special holiday meals for his family. Whether he was cooking or playing music, Joseph loved to sing. Self-taught, he learned to play the drums from a very young age. He used to play in a band with his nephew, Joseph (Gene) Leeka.
He enjoyed karaoke and jam sessions with his family.
Joseph had a special bond with his granddaughter, Chloe, and swore he made it through his first major heart attack just to meet her for the first time.
Joseph will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
