Josh Michael Lang, 37 of Lakewood, died Wednesday November 3, 2021.
Josh was born November 7, 1984 in Denver, Colorado and graduated Bear Creek High School class of 2003. In High school he worked at the The Rib, where he met life long friends. After leaving there, he started working for Aramark as a Supervisor of the inmate in the kitchen at Jefferson County Jail for over 10 years, before pursuing the job he loved for The Colorado Department of Corrections as a CSTS 1 ( Sergeant in the kitchen) at the Denver Women's prison.
Josh was well respected by his coworkers, but, most of all, the female inmates. He was compassionate, treated everybody equally, and never judge them.
Josh did a lot of things but what he loved the most, was camping, his Jeep and fishing.
He was an amazing person
Josh is survived by his parents, Bob and Lisa Lang, of Lakewood; half-brothers, Robert (June) Vanfossen, of Aurora, Billy Vanfossen, of Winterhaven, Florida; Brother, Bobby (Elisha) Lang of Roxborough; Sister, Lora Lang of Lakewood; Nephew, Jayce Connelly of Lakewood; Niece, Jentreigh Lang, of Lakewood; 2 other Nephews; 2 great Nieces; other extended family, cousins and friends
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Lillian Tatro; Uncles, Robert and Richard Tatro; Sister-in-law, Dolly Vanfossen; Cousins, Michael Tatro and Tanya Williams; and many more.
