Joy Ann Crabb

Joy Ann (Arbogast) Crabb was born May 13, 1933 and went to be with our Lord and Savior on August 23, 2008 Joy is survived by her husband of 55 years Cecil, two daughters, Deborah Ann and Mary Lyn, and one son Brent Patrick, one son-in-law George Beck, three grandsons Aaron, Nikko, and Miki, three granddaughters, Bethany, Amber, and Mirandah, and two great-grandsons, Jeremiah and Kaine. Memorial service Friday 1 P.M. at Newcomer West Chapel. Joy was born at home in Colbran, Colorado. She was the youngest of four children born to Mary and Lloyd Arbogast. Joy grew up on a ranch along the Colorado River in Fruita Colorado. Joy graduated from Fruita High School in 1951 and came to Denver to attend Barnes School of Business. It was in Denver that she met Cecil and they were married on December 7, 1952.

Being a mother and homemaker was Joyʼs calling in life. She was accomplished and creative in her homemaking arts with talents including seamstress, gardening, cooking, home decorating, and hand crafts. She was extremely organized and had an incredible ability to remember details.

Her greatest joy came from her family who celebrated holidays together and met frequently in her home to work, visit, play games, and tell jokes and family stories. Joy never ceased to find humor in almost any situation and certainly earned her God-given name.

Her faith in God was private, yet extremely important to her ability to face the adversity of life with courage, hope, and extend great love toward others.

She was well loved by friends and family alike and was always surrounded by friendship, fresh flowers, and fabulous food. Joy was a meticulous house keeper. She was well educated and loved to use her articulate English language skills.

Her love of children was demonstrated by the time she spent with kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She spent countless hours with them reading books, cooking, gardening, and sewing.

Joy was active with many volunteer groups including the Blue Spruce Pioneers and the Lioness.

It was Joyʼs request that no flowers be sent, but that donations be made in her name to your favorite non-profit or charity. Joy's favorite charity was the Blue Spruce Pioneers. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Quest Pioneers Blue Spruce LM Club Att: Sarah Van Horne 9269 Cornell Circle, Highlands Ranch, CO 80130
