Joyce Lee Jerome, 88, of Aurora, Colorado passed away Thursday June 27h. 2024

She was born to the late Lloyd and Ore Lee Inman, February 29,1936, in Dewitt, Arkansas.

After high school graduation she moved to Little Rock, Arkansas where she met and married Glenn Jerome in 1957. Because of his Air Force career they lived in several areas of the country (Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, North Dakota and Colorado). Upon his retirement from the military, they settled in Denver, Colorado for post military life.

During this time Joyce had stayed home and raised three boys. After settling in Denver Joyce decided She wanted to go back into the work force. She took a job as a secretary with a contractor that ran the dining facilities for the troops at Lowry Air Force Base. Over the years she worked her way up to Supervisor, then Manager and finally she was promoted to Project Manager overseeing all the dining facilities and their operations on the base. She worked there until the base was closed in 1994. She enjoyed working so she worked part time at a Lord and Taylor department store until 2005. At that time, she retired completely.

Joyce enjoyed going to the Denver Bronco games. She was a season ticket holder for years and no matter the weather she was there. She also enjoyed bowling, which she did weekly until COVID in 2020. She loved her daily newspaper which she read cover to cover every day. She was an avid reader and when she wasn't spending time with her children and great grandchildren, you would find her enjoying the latest novel. She enjoyed traveling and made many trips back to Arkansas to see her relatives and friends. She loved her yearly trips to Las Vegas as well as her weekly trips to her favorite casino in Colorado.

Joyce is survived by her three children William E. Jerome (Cathy), Allen J. Jerome and Glenn R.Jerome.

She is also survived by two grandchildren, Justin Jerome (Susan) and Adam Jerome, as well as two great grandchildren Katherine and Oliver. In addition, she is survived by her siblings, Lloyd Inman Jr., Loretta Blackwell and Carolyn Birmingham (Aubrey). She is proceeded in death by her husband of 57 years, Glenn, as well as her sister-in-law Patsy Inman, Edna Helgerson and brother-in-law Billy Blackwell.

Joyce enjoyed a full life and she will be greatly missed by her family.
