Joyce Ann Mills

Joyce passed away after illness, June 1st 2024, at the age of 76. She is preceded in death by her husband Carl E. Anderson, her parents Elbert and Virginia L. Russell and her sister, Marty Rene. Joyce remarried in 2006 and is survived by her husband, Phillip A. Mills, his children Adam Mills, Phillip Mills and her children Kelly Payton, Richard Anderson and Kristine Nelson. She is also survived by her brothers Steven Swails, Allen Russell, niece Stephanie Elliott, nephew Mike Swails, a grandson and a great-grandson.

Joyce was born and graduated high school in Lebanon, Indiana. Joyce joined The Denver Post in August 1979, retiring in 2011, after over 30 years. After retiring, her love for books led her to the Jefferson County Library Foundation, where she volunteered for many years. She was an important part of their team and will be missed. Joyce was a strong supporter of her family and friends.
