Joyce Sigler

Joyce Sigler, 77, of Aurora, CO passed away January 5, 2022 at University Hospital with her daughter, Bridget, son in law, Gene and son, Scott by her side.

She was born in Illinois to the late Harry Edward and Mary Olive (Carpenter) Weindel. The family moved to Colorado in 1957.

Joyce graduated from East High School in 1962.

She married Ralph Steven Siegler in 1963. They raised their children together and shared 28 years of marriage.

Joyce worked at Gateway High School. She was a paraprofessional in the special needs department. She loved and cared for her students. After retirement she kept in contact with many of them.

Joyce loved and enjoyed being a homemaker. She loved to cook. She also enjoyed going to the mountains with her son as well as the many other trips they enjoyed together. As a surprise Joyce treated her daughter, son in law Gene and son Scott to a Caribbean cruise. She and Scott also enjoyed additional Caribbean and Alaskan cruises. Joyce loved being with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Bridget Suzette Sigler (Gene); her son Scott Steven Sigler and former husband, Ralph Steven Sigler. She is also survived by family and friends in Colorado, Illinois and Utah.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Donations in her memory may be given to the American Heart Association.
