Today we celebrate the life of Joyce “Jackie” Ann Wallace, age 69,
resident of Brighton, Colorado. After a brief illness, Jackie went home
to be with our Father on May 21, 2024. She was surrounded by family
and friends during her journey and transition.
Jackie was born in Florence, South Carolina on June 17, 1954, the
daughter of Annie Mae Deas and AG Deas. She graduated from
Washington Irving High School in Manhattan, NY. She spent half
of her life in New York before embarking on a new chapter in
Colorado. There, she married the love of her life, Joseph D Wallace
on August 16, 1990.
Jackie was an amazing mother, wife, and friend. She was loved by all
because of her kind, funny and welcoming nature. She was always
genuinely interested in YOU and willing to support and inspire.
Jackie retired from IBM after working over 30 years. After
retirement, she spent her time traveling (she LOVED cruising) and
spending time with loved ones.
Jackie was cherished by her husband, Joseph, sisters, Karen Deas and
Debra Cox. Brothers Terrence and Karl Deas. Two daughters, Andrea
and Devin Meade. As well children of the heart, Pretrina, Joseph and
James Wallace. Nine grandchildren Akira, Brianna, Saqari, Aiyende,
Nesa, Monica, Sean, Joseph Jr., Rebecca; and a host of nieces,
nephews, family, and friends.
