Judy Anne Fornwalt

Judy Anne Fornwalt, age 81, passed away peacefully, at home surrounded by family on September 22, 2023. She was a beloved wife, mother, and "Meemaw". She was born in June 1942, in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Judy is survived by her husband, Kenneth, her sons Darren and Todd, her daughters Lori, Kim, Shelly, Angie, and Carlene, 12 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.

Judy and Ken were married December of 1963, and were together for 60 years. They traveled all over the United States, and even lived in Germany while Ken was in the Air Force.

For many years, Judy was a nurse who provided care to people throughout her lifetime, young and old. She was a school nurse at Laredo Elementary, and provided in home care to the elderly.

Judy had an unforgettable personality and always made people around her laugh. She was a strong, determined, and brutally independent woman.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, whether it be at her home, or shopping at her favorite place, the thrift store. Anyone who knew Judy, knew her immense love for animals, and was a member of the ASPCA.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that a donation be made to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or The Lupus Foundation of America.

A small memorial will be held on Wednesday, October 11th at 10:30 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Metro Chapel in Aurora, Colorado.
