Julia (Judy) Ruth Martin
Jan. 16, 1933 - June 19, 2008
Julia (Judy) Ruth Martin, 75, of Lakewood, CO. died at her home on June 19, 2008. She was born on January 16, 1933 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to Earnest Virgil Stephens and Sadie Myrtle Waller.
Judy married Andrew (Andy) Harris Martin on November 17, 1951 in Nowata, Oklahoma. Judy was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters: Gladys Caudill, Maxine Allen, Geraldine Dooley, and Billie Marie Woolard; and one brother: Earnest (Bud) Virgil Stephens.
Judy is survived by her husband Andy, her two sons: Kenneth P. Martin and his wife Debra, of Bakersfield, CA, and Keith A. Martin and his wife Cynthia of Littleton, CO; a daughter: Janice (Kathy) K. Kramer and her husband Kenneth of Castle Rock, CO; a sister Betty Gates of Discovery Bay, CA; eight grandchildren: Angela Davis, Christopher Martin, Matthew Martin, Melissa Rae, Michelle Ragan, Ryan Martin, Patrick Kramer, and Nicole Moseley; eight great grandchildren, and a host of nieces & nephews.
Judy was a telephone operator and bookkeeper for several years, before retiring to raise her family. She was active in many church activities throughout her life, and also spent many years as a Christian counselor with Trinity Broadcasting Network and Christian Broadcasting Network.
Her greatest joy was serving others, and her life's goal was to raise a Godly family, and to be more like Jesus.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Monday, June 23, 2008 at Applewood Baptist Church with Pastors Dr. Calvin Wittman and Dr. Robert Clark officiating. Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery. Visit www.newcomers.com to leave condolences for the family.
